MATERIAL
EXPERTISE
Nova Shipyard works across the full range of modern shipbuilding materials aluminium alloys, carbon steel, stainless steel, GRP/composite, and hybrid combinations. Our engineering and fabrication teams are qualified in all of these, with approved WPS/WPQR procedures and hands-on experience across vessel types and operational environments.
CERTIFIED
EXCELLENCE
Performance that is proven, standards that are certified.
Nova Shipyard holds BV ISO 9001:2015 certification (Bureau Veritas, Certificate No: TR011696), with scope covering workboat building across all production stages — from raw material procurement and welding qualification through to final sea trials.
Our approved WPS/WPQR procedures cover aluminium alloys, carbon steel, and stainless steel. This material range gives us the fabrication flexibility to meet virtually any hull configuration and structural requirement demanded by modern workboat operations.
For passenger vessels, Nova Shipyard has delivered aluminium hulls certified under EU Directive 2009/45/EC (Category B), currently operating in France and Ireland. We actively support European operators seeking passenger vessels compliant with either the EU Directive 2009/45/EC or the IMO High Speed Craft (HSC) Code, aligned with the relevant flag, class, and operational requirements.
